Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price, Release Date And Specs

After the failure of Galaxy Note 7, many people thought the time was over for Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. However, the Note series isn’t dead. Samsung announced its successor would hit the market this year. So let’s take an overall about the price, release date, as well as specs of Galaxy Note 8.

Release Date Of Galaxy Note 8

According to a new report from Korea, Samsung may launch the Galaxy Note 8 in late August. Since the Note devices were usually revealed in August, it’s not surprised when the Galaxy Note 8 will make its appearance that time. Doing this will help Samsung have more time to ensure that their upcoming Note flagship will not come with the same issue on the Galaxy Note 7. Furthermore, they also intend to get it onto the market before the launch of the next iPhone generation in September.

A tweet of Evan Blass revealed Samsung’s plan for its smartphones in 2017. The tweet referred to a secret phone with the model number SM-N950. The Note series usually comes with the N9xx name, so this is the first tangible indication that Samsung will release the Galaxy Note 8 this year.

Regarding to another source from SamMobile, Samsung has started developing firmware for the international variants of the Galaxy Note 8 with the build numbers: N950FXXU0AQC6, N950FOXM0AQC6, and N950FXXU0AQC6.

Display Of Galaxy Note 8

According to some rumors, the Note 8 will sport a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with the resolution up to 4K. The display will also be the Infinity display like Galaxy S8/S8 Plus without physical buttons. The fingerprint scanner will also be put on the back below the rear camera.

Technical specs Of Note 8

The same rumors mention that the Note 8 will come with 6 GB of RAM, 256 GB of expandable internal storage and run on the same processor with the Galaxy S8: Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 SoC.

Camera On Galaxy Note 8

Samsung might use a dual camera setup like on Apple iPhone 7 Plus with a wide-angle and telephoto lens, according to a report from Korea Herald. If the report is true, the Note 8 will be the first Samsung’s Android phone sporting a dual camera. Many other manufactures such as LG and Huawei have already launched dual camera smartphones, so moving in this direction is necessary. The wide-angle lens will come with 12 MP, while the telephoto lens will sport 13 MP with 3x optical zoom.

Galaxy Note 8’s Software

In terms of software, the Galaxy Note 8 will adopt an ultra-definition VR feature and an improvement of the stylus functionality. Bixby, the personal assistant on Galaxy S8 could also be making its way to the Note 8.
