Great news for iPhone users, especially who like tweaking the phone or who are using a locked iPhone version, @pwn20wnd team has just updated the latest the Unc0ver 3.5.0 build, which supports jailbreaking iOS 12.4, currently the latest iOS firmware.
This is super exciting news for iOS users. It’s the first time a latest iOS version has been jailbroken, and the tool is publicized.
Although Unc0ver is still a semi-tethered jailbreak tool, it’s pretty easy to jailbreak your iOS device running iOS 12.4 version. You even do not need a computer to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad.

@pwn20wnd team has released Unc0ver 3.7.0 update that supports jailbreaking iOS devices running on A12X Bionic chipset including: iPhone XS Max, iPhone Xs, iPhone XR, iPad Pro. Users who are using those devices, can now jailbreak their phone running iOS 12.4.

Unc0ver 3.7.0 tool works with the following iPhone & iPad models running iOS 12-iOS 12.4:
- iPhone 5s
- iPhone 6/ 6 Plus
- iPhone 6s/ 6S Plus
- iPhone 7/ 7 Plus
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 8 / 8 Plus
- iPhone X
- iPhone XS Max/ XS/ XR
- iPad Air
- iPad 6th gen
- iPad Pro
While you can jailbreak iOS 12.4 version with Unc0ver, it does not support the iOS 12.3 version. So if your device is running on iOS 12.3, you need to update iOS 12.4 first before the jailbreak.
Apple still allows signing iOS 12.4, so even when you have updated to iOS 13 beta, you can still downgrade back to this iOS version.
Requirements:
- Remove any iOS 12/13 beta OTA update on your phone by heading to Settings > Storage. Once done, reboot your iPhone/iPad before attempting the jailbreak.
- Unc0ver jailbreak supports Cydia.
- Make sure to create a backup of your data to avoid something going wrong.
Steps to Jailbreak iOS 12.4 with Unc0ver
Simply do the following steps to jailbreak your iPhone/iPad running iOS 12- iOS 12.4 version.
Step 1: Download the latest Unc0ver tool
First, visit Github source from Safari browser on your iPhone/iPad. Choose the web option and look for Unc0ver. Then, tap on Get > Install button. Wait for a few minutes so that the app can be installed on your iPhone/iPad.
Step 2: Trust Certificate on your iPhone/iPad
Now, navigate to Settings-> General -> Device Management. Tap on the developer name and trust it. You cannot open the Unc0ver jailbreak app unless you trust it first.
Step 3: Jailbreak iOS 12.4 with Unc0ver
Launch Unc0ver on your iPhone/iPad, tap on Jailbreak button and wait for the app to do its task. Your phone might respring several times during the process. Once done, you will see the Cydia app on your phone.
In case the app gets crashed or frozen, just wait for about 2 minutes. If it does not work, reboot your iOS device and repeat the steps above.
If you feel the steps above are too complicated, you can use 3UTools to jailbreak your iPhone. Here are steps to jailbreak your device with 3UTools. Currently, this software just work with Windows OS.
Step 1: Download 3UTools and install it on your Windows computer
Step 2: Once done, open the app and connect your iPhone with the computer. Remember to unlock your phone first.
Step 3: Wait for a few seconds and the tool will automatically detect your iPhone/iPad.
Step 4: From there, note the Jailbroken section. If you see “Jailbreak now” it means your iPhone/iPad can jailbreak.
Step 5: Click on it and you will be taken to the Jailbreak page. Just click on Run Jailbreak to start jailbreaking your device. Wait for the jailbreak to be done.
